MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET

Nov. 22-Dec. 11 - Knight Theater at Levine Center for the Arts

Congratulations to Stephen Huffman for being randomly selected as the winner of our MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET ticket giveaway.  He won a pair of tickets to opening night of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET and dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.  Thank you to everyone that shared their memories.

Here are a few of your memories.

  • Nicole – “One of my favorite memories would be driving in the car with my mom when ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ would come on. She would always turn to me and say, ‘this was your father’s and my wedding song.’ Now, I can’t hear it without thinking of them.”
  • Lisa Phillips – “When I was younger, all the way up into my teens, I would go in my parents’ bedroom where they had their stash of 60′s and 70′s records. I would play them all day long, one by one. One of Elvis’ records, ‘Burnin’ Love,’ was in the mix, as well as Jerry Lee Lewis’ ‘Great Balls of Fire.’ Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash were heard around the house as well.”
  • Marie Vaughan – “When I was young, we lived in CA [and] my parents would often go to Vegas. We kids stood near the rail when they were playing cards, or machines. One time I went to ask my Mom for some more change for the arcade, and a guard escorted me back to the rail where he told me I had to stay. About then a man walked up next to me, and said, ‘doesn’t seem fair does it?’ I turned to see who it was, and there stood Johnny Cash! I said no it wasn’t fair, and he handed me a $50 chip, laughed and walked away.”
