Tuesday Tune: “Galileo” by Indigo Girls

August 7, 2012

They are the band that asked, “How long till my soul gets it right?  Can any human being ever reach that kind of light?”

Today’s Tuesday Tune is “Galileo,” one of the Indigo Girls‘ biggest hits.  The song was released in 1992 on their platinum-selling fourth studio album Rites of Passage.  It reached #10 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart, the first song by the Indigo Girls to break the top ten on any chart.

Touring in support of their fourteenth studio album, Grammy-winning folk-rock duo Indigo Girls deliver a beautifully crafted batch of songs that revel in spirited simplicity.
