Tour Updates: The Latest on Jekyll & Hyde, Sister Act, Les Misérables and Catch Me If You Can!

We are still grinning ear to ear after two amazing performances from the touring cast of Chicago.  But our season is just getting started.  With so many big name musicals coming to the Queen City, I thought we could check in with some updates from the tours, many of which are just launching their national tours.

How does Constantine Maroulis feel about playing two roles in Jekyll & Hyde?  Which young actress won the role of Sister Act‘s Deloris Van Cartier?  Which Les Misérables star was “surprise frenched” by an actress on stage, and who’s taking on the role of Frank Abignale, Jr., in Catch Me If You Can?

  • Constantine Maroulis Discusses Playing the Dual Roles of Jekyll & Hyde

Maroulis, the “American Idol” and Tony Award-nominee (Rock of Ages), recently spoke to about touring Jekyll & Hyde before it arrives on Broadway April 2013.  “I feel like people are going to be very moved by the show,” Maroulis said. “I don’t think there’s been a definitive production anywhere in the world, and I feel this has the potential to be the one.     Five Questions For Sister Act‘s Newest Deloris Van Cartier

It’s the role made famous by Hollywood legend Whoopi Goldberg, but now Ta’Rea Campbell is hitting the road for the next 12 months and portraying her own spin on the diva nun, Deloris Van Cartier.

Andrew Varela may be touring the United States as Inspector Javert in the 25th anniversary production of Les Misérables, but he still had time to fill out’s questionnaire of random facts, backstage trivia and pop-culture tidbits.
