Watch or perform in our second Open Mic Night!

Blumenthal Performing Arts Open MicBlumenthal Performing Arts invites you to participate in our next OPEN MIC NIGHT event Sunday, April 7. This free event is open to performers and spectators of all ages.

Instrumentalists, singers, dancers, storytellers, poets, jugglers, magicians and others are all welcome. Beginning performers as well as veterans are encouraged to participate.

Audience seating is on a first-come-first-served basis.

Due to great interest, we have implemented a lottery system for selecting performers. If you would like to perform on Sunday, April 7, click here to e-mail openmicnight@ncbpac.org and include the following information:

1. First and Last Name of the performer(s)
2. Performance Genre (singing, playing an instrument, telling a story, etc.)

We will accept e-mails from interested performers between Thursday, March 21 and Wednesday, March 27. Names will be “drawn from a hat” on Thursday, March 28, and results of the lottery will be emailed to everyone who requested a performance spot.

If your name was not drawn for the April 7 event, please come cheer on other local talent as an audience member, and plan to submit your name again for future OPEN MIC NIGHTS.

Guidelines

  • Performances must be no longer than 5 minutes
  • Performances must be appropriate for a general audience—inclusive of very young children.
  • Performances must stay within the stage dimensions: 33′ wide x 18′ deep
  • Blumenthal will provide: 5 microphones, CD player, ipod connection, piano, DI box for instrument amplification (1/4″ plug), chairs and stools
  • Each performer and group must set up the stage for their act within 90 seconds and clear the stage of their properties within the same amount of time.
