His humor comes from everyone he has ever met, everything he has ever seen and everything he has ever done. Sinbad is internationally known for movies like Jingle All the Way with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Houseguest with Phil Hartman and Necessary Roughness, his film debut. On television, he starred in “A Different World” and “The Sinbad Show.” Entertainment mogul Quincy Jones nabbed Sinbad to host “Vibe,” UPN’s first late-night talk show. He later played an integral role in Paul Simon’s tour for the classic album Graceland, which was one of the first pop records to introduce African music to a broader public.

Articulate and brilliantly musical in any number of genres, Masekela has been a defining force in world music, the preservation of South Africa’s musical heritage, the safety and well-being of its poorest citizens as well as the struggle for freedom and human rights both in Africa, and around the world.
