Known for his iconic white stripe and swashbuckling charm, Grammy-nominated recording artist Adam Ant will soon grace the stage in McGlohon Theater at Spirit Square. CLICK HERE for more information and tickets.

He might be one of the most recognized faces of the ’80s having sold more than 40,000,000 records. Adam Ant’s huge hits, including “Goody Two Shoes,” “Stand and Deliver,” “Prince Charming,” “Room at the Top” and “Wonderful,” have crowned charts worldwide. At one point, he had eight singles in the global Top 40 charts in one week.

He also delved into an acting career with film/TV roles including “Nomads,” “Love Bites,” “Slam Dance,” “The Equalizer,” “Sledge Hammer!” and “Tales from the Crypt” and later penned his autobiography.

With his band, The Good, the Mad and the Lovely Posse, Adam Ant is on a massive 2013 tour, which will make a stop for one night only in Charlotte on Aug. 12.

“Going on stage is the most relaxing, unique experience as all the preparation and practice kicks in and you just feel like you’ve been given the greatest gift on earth,” Adam Ant says.

He just released his new album “Adam Ant is the Blueblack Hussar in Marrying the Gunner’s Daughter.” The album, a musical autobiography with 17 musical stories about his life and things that interest him, debuted at No. 8 on The Official Chart in the U.K. and climbed to No. 3 on the U.K. Indie Albums chart.
