Friday Giveaway! Win a Pair of Tickets to See The Improvised Shakespeare Company

January 10, 2014

The night could reveal a tragedy, comedy or history. Sound interesting? The Improvised Shakespeare Company is coming to McGlohon Theater at Spirit Square and we’re giving away a pair of tickets to the Feb. 6 performance! Each play is completely improvised, so each play is entirely new.

Based on one audience suggestion (a title for a play that has yet to be written), The Improvised Shakespeare Company creates a fully improvised Shakespearean masterpiece right before your very eyes. Each of the players has brushed up on his thees and thous to bring you an evening of off-the-cuff comedy using the language and themes of William Shakespeare. Nothing has been planned out, rehearsed or written. All of the dialogue is spoken for the first time, the characters are created as you watch, and if ever you’re wondering where the story is going … so are they!

Check out the video below when The Improvised Shakespeare Company performed at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. The audience suggested the title “Rubber Crazy.”

The Improvised Shakespeare Company, founded in 2005, has been performing its critically-acclaimed show to sold-out audiences at the world famous iO Theater in Chicago for more than seven years. If this looks like a show you just have to see, enter this week’s Friday Giveaway!
