Wednesday Wow! Audiences Loving The Mountaintop

February 19, 2014

It’s the gripping play that takes you on a journey through the imagination of playwright Katori Hall. The Mountaintop takes place the night before the assassination of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. After delivering one of his most memorable speeches, an exhausted King retires to his room at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis while a storm rages outside. When a mysterious young woman named Camae delivers room service, King is forced to confront his destiny and his legacy to his people.

The show opened in Booth Playhouse Feb. 4 and has been moving Charlotte audiences night after night. Check out this video below to hear from some of the folks who have seen it.

The show won’t be here for much longer. It closes Sunday, March 2. After tonight, there are only eight performances left, but you still have time to pick up tickets! CLICK HERE to buy now!

Also, there are a few more post-show Talk Backs scheduled. It’s your chance to discuss the show in depth with the actors. The final three Talk Backs will take place after the following performances:
