Friday Giveaway: Win a Pair of Tickets to PostSecret: The Show!

January 15, 2016

Later this month, PostSecret: The Show comes to Charlotte for two riveting nights of theater at the Booth Playhouse. The production draws its inspiration from the half-million anonymous secrets that have been shared with creator Frank Warren via postcard.

His community art project started in 2004 when he randomly gave out 3,000 self-addressed postcards on the streets of Washington, D.C., with instructions for people to artfully share a secret on the flip side of the card that they had never told to another soul. His concept went viral, and since then postcards have flooded his mailbox from around the globe.

Postsecret.com is now the largest, advertisement-free blog in the world, with more than 742 million visitors to date. Every Sunday, it posts a new batch of secrets. The project has also served as source material for six books and is currently included in a Smithsonian art exhibition.

In PostSecret: The Show, three actors along with projected images and video give voice to these anonymous cards in an alternately moving, funny, shocking and hopeful theatrical event. Take the bravery of RENT and the surprising honesty of The Vagina Monologues and you’ve got an idea of what to expect with PostSecret: The Show.
