STOMP comes to Knight Theater tomorrow through Sunday!

STOMP comes to Knight Theater tomorrow through Sunday!

STOMP is explosive, inventive, provocative, witty and utterly unique — an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages. The international percussion sensation has garnered armfuls of awards and rave reviews and has appeared on numerous national television shows. The eight-member troupe uses everything but conventional percussion instruments – matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters, hubcaps – to fill the stage with magnificent rhythms. Year after year, audiences worldwide keep coming back for more of this pulse-pounding electrifying show. CLICK HERE for tickets before it’s too late!

OAS-235Jonzi D leads a weeklong choreographic residency that will culminate in a public showing and discussion on Saturday, April 9, in the Booth Playhouse, Charlotte. Open Art Surgery, hosted by Jonzi, is an informal sharing that breaks the fourth wall and invites the audience to question and critique the new work shown. This gives artists a unique opportunity to test the water in a theater environment and, equally interestingly, gives audience members the opportunity to speak directly to the artists about their work.

Tickets will be available night of show at the box office and are “Pay What You Can.” The funds raised at this event will go directly to supporting education events for Breakin’ Convention.
